RAINY DAY ENCOURAGEMENT

With all of the rain we’ve experienced this season and forecasts of more to come , it became pretty evident to us that this month’s edition of the Wall could provide a public service by celebrating some of the benefits of wet weather.

If necessity is the mother of invention then a strong case can be made pointing to inconvenience and its role in encouraging opportunity. Many of the design products that we love and draw inspiration from today were developed to protect and shelter us from minor annoyances like inclement weather.

Rough weather brings families together. Storms provide a catalyst for people to reach out be phone and check in on friends and loved ones that are away. Inclement outdoor conditions give us unspoken permission to stay inside and recharge our batteries.

We’d love to hear ideas on turning rainy days into opportunity. Write to us at feedback@creativewallcoverings.com

BEHIND THE WALL

Architect Luca Scacchi, fused the reflective surfaces of metal and water, with bright flashes of natural stone and sounds taken from the flow of water to recreate the inspired  musicality of the falls, The result  is a work of art that mixes aesthetic beauty, sounds and shapes.tw_003

THE SOFTER SIDE OF RAIN

Rain brought out a mellow side in Madonna, clashing with her usual bad girl attitude. The video for Rain was filmed entirely in black and white; the colors you see were hand painted during post production. It went on to win an award for best art direction in a music video.

Scent and sight combine for a truly stylish home(ARA) – Whether your home is an expression of clean-lined modernism in stainless steel and glass or a warm and worn harmony of earth tones and antique furnishings, an often-overlooked element of home style is the unseen atmosphere that you breathe. Customizing a unique palette of aromatic style is an expression of your personal taste.

More importantly, if you want a home that’s toxin-free, you’ll want to select fragrance options carefully, and not choose synthetic options. Synthetic scents are often very obtrusive and lack the subtle nuances of 100 percent pure essential oils.

When you find an essential oil blend suited to your style, it’s easy to incorporate the scent into one or more natural and stylish home scenting options. For more information about using essential oils in your home, visit www.auracacia.com.
